Why Request Data Deletion?
If you no longer wish to use our services, you can request the deletion of your data at any time.
What Data Can Be Deleted?
We can delete your leaderboard username-related data. As of now (31.05.2024), all other data is stored on your device and not transferred to the cloud. If you haven’t created or accessed a leaderboard account, no personalized data has been forwarded to us.
How to Request Data Deletion?
Automatic Account Deletion
As described in our Privacy Policy, account deletion can also be done automatically within the app. This feature ensures that your data is removed promptly and efficiently.
Manual Deletion Requestion
To request the deletion of your data, please send an email to our team at [email protected].
Include the following information in your email:
- Your leaderboard username.
- An optional date range when you believe you created your account to verify your ownership.
- Any additional information that might help us identify your data.
We aim to process all data deletion requests within 5-10 business days. However, in some cases, processing may take up to 15-20 business days due to unforeseen circumstances such as staff availability or the complexity of the request.
Emails are handled confidentially via ProtonMail to limit third-party data access.
Important Note
Account deletion only affects the data stored with us. Data on your device remains untouched, as the app can be used without any connection to our servers (as of 31.05.2024). This data is encrypted on your device using Hive with AES-256 encryption. You can export your data yourself within the app. This data is not synced to the cloud.
If you do not create an account, your data will remain solely on your device (as of 31.05.2024).
Historical Data
Users from before February 26, 2023, may have additional data stored as part of a research study. This data was collected with user consent under a previous Privacy Policy and will also be deleted upon request.
Additional Information
- Data Storage and Security: All data collection occurs on your device, encrypted and secure. As of now (31.05.2024), account creation uses Firebase Anonymous Authenticator (see Privacy Policy).
- Leaderboard Username: The leaderboard username can be automatically generated upon registering within the app, and does not require any additional personal information to maintain your anonymity.
